The Prenatal Care Program is provided by both Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse staff as an integral component of primary obstetrical care provided by three C-FHT physicians.

Program objectives include:

• To ensure timely completion of prenatal monitoring throughout the course of pregnancy.
• To promote and support patient healthy maternal lifestyle choices through the provision of information and supportive lifestyle counseling.
• To ensure support for identified maternal health concerns by promoting access of the C-FHT interdisciplinary team and/or making referrals to community resources where necessary.
